Sywell Village Wedding
Candid Wedding Photography Northamptonshire
It was August when I shot Sywell Village Wedding of Sarah and Jon
The weather was fine warm and sunny, until it almost rained! actually it was great day for photography with clouds scudding through but staying warm. I started as I always do with the bridal prep. I arrived at the home of the bride Sarah. I wasn’t sure what to expect in terms of nerves and chaos! I had a feeling it would be calm, I hoped it would be calm and it was very chilled and relaxed. The bridesmaids were a good giggle and I soon made friends. All was going well, the Bride was almost ready to go Then we were off to the church in Burton Latimer. At the church on I was met by a smiling but slightly tense groom. The Vicar had a few things to run past me, which often means stand hear don’t move. Ceremony went off without a hitch. Hugs kisses tears laughter and confetti done and the couple squeeze themselves into the back of a Ford Mustang (awesome car), which roared them to the reception At Sywell Grange Wedding venue we were met by event planner Claire Clarke with welcome drinks which were soon quaffed and the reception could really get underway.
The Marquee based venue was a great foil for the festival feel the couple wanted for there day. There were multiple food trucks, crepe stand bar, straw bales, bunting and everything a festival needs The Sywell Village Wedding and the general location meant beautiful locations for photography lurked at every angle. The day rolled on the food was ace, the speeches entertaining then the real party started as the sun went down.
As the evening rolled on I shot more and more, the drink flowed and people fell over, actually I don’t no how they didn’t all fall over, shirts were removed people were carried on shoulders, its all part of the festival wedding day and a great time was had by all, me included.
Wow! We spent last night with a couple of beers and the iPad hooked up the TV to look through your photos. It was so lovely to sit and talk through the day again. You have perfectly captured the minute details and faces of our wedding just as we wanted. The festival atmosphere has been recorded just as it felt and the photos of myself and Jon are beautiful.
We have had so many compliments about yourself, from the bridesmaids saying how comfortable you made them feel to helping my dad take a photo with his camera. Our guests also said how great you were, they appreciated the couple portraits and your relaxed way.
Over the coming days, we will look through the photos again and look forward to sharing these with our nearest and dearest.
The video you sent sums up the day perfectly, it is so wonderful.
