On a very warm summer day in June I shot the wedding of Caroline and Lee. Notley Tythe Farm nr Aylesbury Buckinghamshire, was a new venue to me, I really like shooting different venues, it one of the parts of being a Buckinghamshire wedding photography that I like the most. The historic Tythe barn was going to provide me with lots of photo opportunities and create an amazing backdrop to the day. First, we had the get there, we somehow got mixed up a rather large local bicycle race event!

I arrived at the bride’s house bright and early to find the house empty, stay calm find the brides number no answer! Ok hmmm sit and check details no everything’s correct. Phone rings it’s the bride they are running late from the hair salon, breaths a shy of relief! Bridal prep was a joy with the two small bridesmaids entertaining me. I love kids at weddings they offer so many photo ops throughout the day. We arrive at the ceremony after negotiating Lycra clad cyclists. A beautiful ceremony with a beautiful reading by a guest who wrote her poem herself. Fab food and speeches lead into doing some bridal portraits where we startled perhaps 100 rooks from a barn we used for images, see pics. The day went really well and the groom stood up and rapped to a couple of tracks which came very much out of left field but he was great.
